If you start to feel anxious, follow the fireman's instructions: stop, drop and roll.

STOP - At the very first sign of nervousness, stop and admit to yourself that you are having anxiety symptoms. Tell yourself that you won't fight it - you'll just let it come.

DROP - Drop all of your muscles into an "over-relaxed" position. Let your body experience any symptoms it wants to while you are in this "over-relaxed" state.

ROLL - Roll with it, baby. Focus your mind on your breathing. In and out. Nice, regular deep tummy breaths that supply your brain with the oxygen it's lacking at the moment. Keep your thoughts focused (in and out) until your body gets angry that your mind is not paying attention to its tantrum and just gives up on the "game." Without your mind focusing on your body symptoms, there's no fuel for the fire.

So, pals, STOP, DROP and ROLL!
