hello all the members , this is a story of I got while googling, felt like sharing since it is really a good story about how good psychiatrists can really make a difference. u all should read the short story except the medication prescribed which I feel can be considered only after through consulting . And you know what, being part of this forum, sharing ur thoughts and finding like minded people can also act like prescription, a natural psychiatrists.

I was 40 when I broke in Las Vegas. I did not know what it was, only that I thought I was dying and I had a horrible fear. I had to drink vodka just to get back on the plane. I saw doctor after doctor and no one knew what to do.

Then I found a wonderful psychiatrist who understood and dealt with this daily. He put me on on some tablets to sleep. I was out of work a whole year recovering, but I learned how to live again. I learned how to enjoy my life, and instead of saying "what if," now I say "so what." I never ever leave home without my meds. I don't need them daily now, only as needed. They saved my life.

I am now doing well. I have panic attacks about once a month but handle them now with medication.

Thank God for good psychiatrists. Medical doctors are very very negative as they know so little about this disease. Don't waste your time there.
Good luck, and God is with you always. You will get better.

thanks,
sam.

you are right sam , psychiatrists are better then medical doctors cuz medical doctors won't understand u mentally and they would only give u tablets (i.e checking u physically) etc , but psychiatrists would get into your mind and that would really help and that was the case with here , so i would also prefer psychiatrists than doctors/GP's.

Does anybody have different thought?

thanks,
minxy.
