Fear of feet or Podophobia & NLP

The phobia of the feet is the situation where you feel angry and upset every time you look at your feet or whenever you touch it.

fear of feet picIt is also a situation in which you feel uncomfortable whenever you find and hear people discussing about feet. Usually, people suffering from the fear of feet also do not like nor approve others coming towards and touching your feet.

Although you cannot really explain how you feel, you do know that is not something pleasant. That weird feeling slowly develops and soon enough you become extremely uncomfortable with the idea of feet hits your head.

The fear of feet is scientifically called Podophobia. This condition can have huge effects on your life and most of the time, if will make you feel very miserable about yourself and the people around you.

Having this kind of phobia is not just frustrating on your part; it can also be humiliating at some point as well. Most of the time, other people who do not understand your phobia can easily make fun of your condition. And although they find it funny that you are “afraid” of feet, it does not make your situation any less serious.

The first signs of Podophobia are the sudden abnormal behavior of trying to cover your feet with shoes and socks even when they are not necessary. And sometimes you do it unconsciously, even while you are sleeping. The usual symptoms of this particular phobia include having problems in breathing, feeling extremely anxious and frightened and the sight or thought of own or someone else’s feet, excessive sweating, avoidance of situations and conversations about the feet, as well as increased heart rate.

Having the phobia of the feet is something irrational and has really nothing dangerous in it. But although you know that there is nothing to be afraid of your feet, you are still unable to escape the condition. The fear keeps on coming back leading to frequent panic attacks and anxiety.

There are a few ways in dealing with phobias. Neuro Linguistic Program works effectively in treating the fear of the feet. This is the fastest and the most successful means of overcoming any phobia or similar condition.

Through Neuro Linguistic Program techniques, you will be able to create a reality for yourself. Therefore, restructuring your mental setup is much easier because you have full command of that separate reality. You will also be able to have better control over your emotions and sentiments in life. Through proper counseling and therapy, the Neuro Linguistic Program will be able to help you get through not just the phobia of the feet, but of any other phobias as well.
