Emotional Freedom Technique EFT Explained
Emotional Freedom Technique is based on the discovery that imbalances in the body's energy system have profound effects on one's personal
psychology. Emotional Freedom Technique is an offshoot of thought field therapy.
It was developed by Gary Craig, a minister and personal trainer. Emotional Freedom Technique can be described as
a simple and yet very powerful method of balancing the body's energy. It works on the principle that all negative
emotions are caused by a disruption in the body's energy system.
Emotional Freedom Technique is just one of the processes that can be taught to women to change
the way that they think and feel about
their bodies and their relationship to food. Emotional
Freedom Technique is a simple method you can learn yourself, takes only a few short minutes before you stand up to
speak and calms all fears of sounding stupid and feeling worse.
EFT involves treating physiological or psychological problems by tapping specific acupressure points with
fingers. It is you who taps yourself. EFT is very easy to learn and quick to teach. Emotional Freedom Technique
creates a “no lose” situation as it is so quick to use, there is no reason not to try it on anything. EFT can often
eliminate a problem in one session. Some complex problems may require more time.
EFT is a great tool for personal growth. It is also a perfect tool to expand the range of choices for all
professionals helping others: doctors, psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, chiropractors, educators, parents,
coaches. EFT is based on a number of principles, but chiefly it is a means of activating the chi meridians, (as
used in acupuncture), right and left-brain psychology and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP).
A sequence of tapping on meridian points with finger tips, saying affirmations and ?brain gym? exercises
re-balances the chi such that pain, cravings, phobias and other emotional upsets are ameliorated. EFT incorporates
an emotional element to the healing process, addressing unresolved issues as likely causes of disease,
psychological dysfunction and personal problems. The physical changes we feel from those disruptions, such as
anxiety, depression, difficulty breathing, or even headaches, become attached to the memory of the traumatic
circumstance.
EFT therefore is a simple, innovative therapeutic tool that is the solution. By learning this revolutionary
technique, you can finally target and treat the underlying causes of being overweight the anxiety, stress and
conflicts that drive people to overeat in the first place. EFT is easy to learn and safe to use. That said, as with
any natural therapy, it is not a replacement for correct medical supervision and should be used in conjunction with
proper medical treatment. EFT requires very little training to begin using it successfully. Gary Crag even offers
the complete EFT manual online at no charge.
EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) is a gentle, non-evasive form of emotional acupressure using
acupuncture meridians. Tapping or rubbing specific points on the upper body releases the stuck energy that holds
emotions in place. EFT is sometimes called “acupuncture without needles” and generates its results by balancing the
body’s energy meridians while the client “tunes in” to their problem in a gentle, conversational manner. In this
way an important link is established between mind and body.
EFT helps you rewire the emotional patterns within so that you are no longer triggered in painful ways. It is
literally emotional freedom to feel different, lighter, less burdened by the past, less susceptible to reacting
with painful emotion. EFT compliments and enhances hypnotherapy and NLP approaches, and clients find it easy to
learn to use in their day to day life.
Although the technique can seem a little strange at first, it is rapidly becoming accepted as a powerful tool to
aid in the treatment of many stress and trauma related issues. EFT has become a way of life for myself, my clients,
my animals.
EFT can also be used to resolve emotional or behavioral issues. EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) is a
wonderfully simple, yet effective healing technique based on acupressure (a needleless form of acupucture). This
version of energy psychology is often called the "tapping cure". EFT can release fears, phobias and limiting
beliefs quickly and effectively without the usual talking approach offered by psychologists.
EFT is applied to these aspects until the emotional charge around them is zero. It is amazing how wonderful it
feels. EFT releases these blockages, generating results beyond those of conventional methods. EFT can provide
relief for a wide range of physical, mental and emotional symptoms. EFT also varies the affirmations used in TFT.
Most of the following systems that are offshoots of TFT also differ mostly in slight variations of tapping and/or
affirmations and were developed later than TFT.
EFT enables people to quit smoking, easily and permanently. It breaks the association . EFT relieves symptoms by
using a systematic routine by tapping with the fingertips specific parts of the body. This tapping balances the
energy meridians that become disrupted when the client thinks about or becomes involved in an emotionally
disturbing circumstance. EFT stands for emotional freedom technique, and it?s meant to give you exactly that,
emotional freedom. It?s alarmingly simple, and to many intellectuals, it sounds too good and too easy to be
true.
Positive thinking creates a happy mind and positive actions. Our subconscious, self defeating attitudes and
beliefs cause us the most grief in our lives. Positive thinking is absolutely a must for moving forward, but so is
changing or releasing the blocks.
