Just a brief few words to say thanks for the ebook and audio
presenation. Many people laugh when I tell them that I have a
fear of spiders (yes even the tiny innocent ones that people
call money spiders).
For me, however this irrational fear would bring on intense
bouts of anxiety and
involuntary sweats that I couldn't control. The breathing trick
that you outline in one of the chapters was a great help
and learning this simple technique in itself is just one
reason why others could benefit from the wisdom wihin these

I am writing to thank you for helping me to overcome my fear
of public speaking. I was quite sceptical about the chances of
your ebook being able to help me to gain the confidence to

"Now I haven't the
slightest fear of going in lifts"
I really didn't think I'd be able to go in a
lift again! I had a horrible experience with my
husband and two children in a multi-storey car park lift
some years ago, when the lift got stuck between
floors. There were other people in the lift, all
crammed together, and one woman was getting absolutely
hysterical, hyperventilating, then she passed out.
Someone tried to do first aid on her, there were kids
screaming, it was an absolute nightmare. My husband keep
pressing the red alarm button but nothing happened. We
were in there for what seemed like ages, in fact it was about
15 minutes, but it was about the worst experience I've ever
had.
Eventually they got us out but some people had to be taken
to hospital with shock. For years after, just the thought
of it would send my heart racing and my stomach would turn
over, until I recently discovered your e-book. It was an
absolute revelation, so full of sensible advice, and the
breathing techniques I found particularly useful.
Now I haven't the slightest fear of going in lifts, I'm
completely cured, which is just as well, as I work on the
fourth floor of an office building, and for years had to walk
up the stairs (good for excercising the thigh muscles but a
nuisance when you're five minutes late for work or have to go
to a meeting across town!) Many thanks, it's been a
literal godsend.

"I love flying
now"
All my life I have feared flying and I could
never grasp why planes just don't fall out of the
sky. I always thought if I got in a plane I would
drop like a stone. Pictures of crashed aeroplanes
were stuck in my mind.
After listening to James's Anxiety Audio Book on my
ipod in bed overnight, on and off for a week or so, the reality
hit me that the stats around air travel prove its the safest
way to travel with no exception.
I love flying now, I love it when I am at the bottom of the
run way and the pilot takes off - even though I know that this

"I will conquer my
anxieties"
I am a keen canoeist who recently moved from Dartmouth to
Farnham in Surrey. I try and get down to the sea as much as I
can to go kayaking with my friends. My main fear, however is
doing eskimo rolls and being turned upside down under water in
my kayak.
In order for me to do proper expeditions I really need to
eskimo roll but my anxiety has prevented me doing so. I had
searched the web for help with my fear of being closed
in/confined and under water!
Through a bit of research I found James' site and decided to
try out the electronic book and audio/speaking book.
I now have far more confidence in the water and have almost
mastered the fine art of "eskimo rolling" unassisted, whereas
before I couldn't even think about turning the boat upside
down.
I'm sure that soon by applying the techniques from the book
I will conquer my anxieties.
