How ADHD and Anxiety Disorders Can Be Related

Anxiety and ADHD are different from each other; however, they are closely related.

Some studies recently revealed that inanxiety adhd most cases anxiety disorders are exhibited by children who are suffering from ADHD.

Anxiety is naturally experienced under certain circumstances when there are incidents that are not normally occurring such as being laid off, being in a fast-driven car, or receiving divorce papers.

When anxiety becomes consistent even under normal circumstances, that’s when other factors are considered. Anxiety disorders are usually felt by people who are experiencing illnesses that are of greater scope.

adhdTo understand each one better, we need to define them. ADHD or attention deficit hyperactive disorder is often considered as a development behavioral disorder that is caused by a chemical brain imbalance.

Other doctors that espouse an alternative viewpoint of the disease define it as a result when environmental factors meet a certain genetic make-up that causes imbalance in proper body and brain development.

ADHD anxiety is often felt by ADHD patients. It is exhibited by up to 30% of children and 25 to 40% of adult with ADHD. Patients with ADHD anxiety excessively worry over some things that are trivial and they more often appear as stressed out.

They suffer from sleep loss and frequent panic attacks. This is indicated by heart palpitations, dizziness, difficulty in breathing, and fearing imminent death.

These episodes occur randomly and even without any trigger. People and students that have ADHD anxiety are more likely to get many school, work, and other social problems.

Adults with ADHD often suffer from comorbid psychiatric disorder such as an anxiety disorder, bipolar disorder, or depression. This generally affects the patient’s ability to function normally.

There are, however, ADHD patients that don’t experience anxiety problems, but generally ADHD patients suffer from it.

There are various medications that are intended for children who suffer from anxiety disorders but it is highly advisable that these children are brought to a psychiatrist or child psychologist for proper treatment.

This is particularly advisable for someone who is exhibiting anxiety disorders brought about by ADHD.
